Mariam Walid is a researcher based in Washington, D.C. Her research has mainly focused on Middle East policy specifically including economic, political, and human rights policy in the region. She previously worked with the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, the Woodrow Wilson Center for International Scholars, and the Project on Middle East Democracy. She received her Bachelor of Science and Arts in Economics and Global Affairs from George Mason University and a Master of Arts in Middle East Studies from Harvard University.
