Al Vanderklipp is an independent researcher specializing in the field of U.S. elections and democracy reform. In addition to his role at Princeton, Al is a Senior Fellow with the Election Reformers Network, where he has led the organization’s research on topics including fair redistricting, impartial election administration, post-election processes, and electoral college reform.
As a research consultant, Al has taken on projects with The Century Foundation, Keep Our Republic, The Union, and Unite America. He is involved with ongoing efforts to preserve the history of the 18-year-old vote, a subject on which he wrote, directed, and edited a documentary film entitled The 26th Amendment: The Long Road to the Fastest Ratification.
